Basics Of Design ||

The main objectives of this project was creating
varied spatial conditions and experiences across different contexts; crafting spatial scenarios that enhance
both physical and visual engagement with
a site in multiple and diverse ways; exploring material
and structural qualities to inform the design
of spatial and formal expressions according to our
Sille site visit. We were expected to choose one site
(dam site or cave site) to work on the topography,
too because we also needed to integrate the construction
the topography and I chose dam area. Another
expectation was to explain our main strategy
in one sentence and mine is "cleaving through the
slop".
Body and Space
The main purpose of this project was to produce
a 3D structure with different spatial conditions. For
this, we had to choose at least 5 activities from
the list (hanging, dangling, climbing, cartwheeling,
crawling, crouching, jumping, kneeling, laying down,
leaning, and leaping). As material we worked with
layers of 3cm styrofoam boards and the expectation
was to define spaces by carving out operations.
In the end, we brought the layers together and we
created a mass whose dimesions are 30x30x60
